Mercy, WilliamsMarston add new HR leaders in May

A major healthcare system and a growing artificial intelligence contracting company are among the employers that added new HR leaders in the month of May.

Mercy

Multistate healthcare system Mercy announced May 18 that Mark “Mo” Moir will be senior vice president and chief people officer. Moir will focus on compensation and benefits, co-worker health, a culture of inclusion, organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition and talent relations. He was promoted from vice president of talent for the company. 

Mississippi State University

Jason Hernandez is Mississippi State University’s new chief human resources officer following a nationwide search, the university announced Wednesday. He will lead the areas of domestic and international employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, learning and development and data services, MSU said. He previously served as CHRO at Centerstone Healthcare and, before that, VP for HR at FedEx Freight. 

Jacobs

Cheryl Lim is the new CHRO for advanced manufacturing and consulting firm Jacobs, the company announced May 18. She will lead HR at a “pivotal moment” in the company’s growth journey, Jacobs said. Most recently, Lim was CHRO and Section 16 Officer at Vertiv Holdings. Before that, she worked for ITT Inc. and Honeywell International.

Ironclad

AI contracting company Ironclad appointed Mike Jordan to CPO, the company announced May 14. He will “scale Ironclad’s hiring engine and employer brand worldwide” as the company enters its next phase of growth. Jordan joins Ironclad from Asana, where he was SVP and head of talent, learning and strategy, and where he “developed an AI-first approach to improve decision-making, productivity and business impact.” 

Valtris Specialty Chemicals

Clint Shephard is the new CHRO for Valtris Specialty Chemicals, the global manufacturer of specialty additives announced May 4. He will play a “key role” in growth strategy, Valtris said. Shephard was most recently senior director of human resources at Myers Industries, and before that, served as a global HR leader for The Dow Chemical Co.

WilliamsMarston

Accounting, tax, technology, transaction and valuation advisory firm WilliamsMarston appointed Douglas Hoffer to CPO, the company announced May 4. He will lead talent acquisition, leadership development and organizational design to support the company’s growth. Prior to joining WilliamsMarston, Hoffer was CPO at Access Information Management.
